Lost Lake offers cabins available for rent in the remote forested area near the Lost Lake Campground. Cabins 1 through 8 and Staff Cabin 2 are simple one-room wood frame structures with three bunk beds that can sleep up to six people. Staff Cabin 1 has a kitchen and bathroom. The First Aid Cabin has its own kitchen and bathroom, however, the bathroom does not have a shower and kitchen does not have an oven/range for cooking. Bedding is not provided; renters are encouraged to bring sleeping bags and any other items they may need such as sheets or pillows. Bathrooms and showers are provided within two central buildings. Drinking water is provided in the well house. A central recreation hall is also available for group gatherings or other activities. The newly (2012) refurbished kitchen can accommodate weddings, retreats, family reunions, and the whole Lost Lake Camp. It is equipped with a gas range stove and oven as well as a big freezer/refrigerator. A new double sink along with plenty of counter space and pots and pans are provided. Renters must bring their own plates, utensils, and other specialized equipment to ensure a comfortable stay. There is also a new Lecture Hall available for meetings, training, weddings, retreats, and family reunions. The hall has electricity and is accessible; building capacity is 90 people. Men and women's bathrooms and showers are provided nearby. |

Lost Lake Cabins offer firewood for sale, or you may purchase firewood locally or cut it in the National Forest with the appropriate permit. Please do not bring in firewood from outside the area in order to prevent the spread of invasive species. Canoes, kayaks, tubes, and bikes are also available for rent on-site through the camp host located in Staff Cabin #3. Ice is available for sale on-site. In the Lecture Hall you will find several fun activities for the kids including, air hockey, foosball table, ping pong table, tumbling mats, etc., for those rainy days. If you need anything during your stay please ask the campground hosts Chase and Lisa in Staff Cabin #3 located near the recreation hall. Pets are allowed but must be leashed and never left unattended No firearms or fireworks allowed in campground Cabin guests and campers must bring their own trash bags and pack out all trash Guests must clean out the cabin before departure Campground hosts are located in Staff Cabin #3 near the recreation hall for check-in. If you are attempting to reserve a cabin within 2 days of your arrival date it may show that nothing is available and you may not be able to make a reservation online. The cabins sit amidst a forest of old-growth trees within walking distance of Lost Lake. The 92-acre lake gets its name from the lack of apparent inflow or outlet of water. The lake is actually fed by springs. Tall white pines, hemlocks and other evergreens border the lake, Loons can be heard singing across the lake. The 92-acre Lost Lake is stocked with channel catfish, perch, brown and rainbow trout and smallmouth bass. No motors are permitted on Lost Lake, but there is a boat access area available at the Lost Lake Campground. For visitors looking to beat the summer heat with a cool dip in the waters of Lost Lake, there is a small beach located at the cabins. In addition, there is a larger, appealing swimming beach available at the Lost Lake Campground. The Lost Lake Trail, a 1-mile interpretive trail through a stand of 150-year-old hemlock and pine, is a short walk from the cabins. Trails also connect to the Chipmunk Rapids Trail and Lauterman National Recreation Trail system. |
